Personal Message

My name is Alena Hall, I am in the 2028 Class of Lutheran High School. I currently have a 3.4 GPA. I play for TN Mojo- Sizemore 16U based out of Michigan. My primary position is catcher, but I am also used as a utility from time to time. Making good grades has always been my main focus and will always be my main focus. I always make sure to keep a positive attitude on and off the field, so that I am a good example for the girls younger than me, that wish to play this sport. I have been involved in softball since the age of 8, but committed to playing softball at the highest level about 4 years ago. I have a passion for catching, and being a competitor at heart and I love the challenges of being behind the plate.

I work hard to be the best for my teammates and my coaches. I also take my role as a catcher very seriously. I keep a busy schedule, as I have softball, swim, practices, lessons and tournaments all year long. I plan to always work hard, get better, be a leader and keep my academics up throughout my middle school, high school and college career. I am quick to cover my ground, and have a quick transition with a strong arm. I am also very fast around the bases, stealing is my specialty!

School is my main priority! Other than softball, I love lifting and being in the gym, hunting, fishing, water sports and anything that will allow me to be outside.

Scouting Report

2028 R/R C/Utl Alena Hall
Mooresville, IN

Young in age, well beyond her years in so many ways. She handled her interview with confidence, ease, and level of maturity that was refreshing to see. She loves playing the game of softball. Alena is aggressive, she has above average arm strength and power for her age. She will be behind the dish in the 4-hole spot of the line-up. She plays hard and with an edge! This PSA will continue to grow as a player and the sky is the limit. A 3.4 GPA student, I have encouraged her to take an ACT or SAT in the coming years. Alena is a member of the student council and the middle school swim team. She has an interest in Engineering. When she is not on the dirt, you can find her outdoors. She likes to hunt, fish, and hike. She also gives her time to a local food pantry.

Middle school Softball Coach (Paul Hadley)

I have known Alena Hall for just over three years now. The first two years were as a fan watching from behind the plate as an umpire, I now have the honor of being one of her coaches. Words like determination, persistence, athleticism, focused, driven, and hard-worker are just a few that come to mind when I think of the young woman Alena is growing into. Alena’s physical skill set can be seen in video or seen live in action, but what is not able to be captured is her attitude and effort she throws into playing not only the game but in life itself. Her drive and commitment to not only improving herself but improving her team is why she is a natural leader.

Alena is a goal-oriented, dedicated, and self-motivated individual. Her competitive nature and resiliency make her an outstanding performer under pressure. She is the epitome of what sportsmanship should be on the field. Alena’s primary position is behind the plate; however, she has the mental capacity, skill set, and athleticism to play middle infield positions as well. Alena gives all she has at all she does at all times. Failure may not seem an option for her, alas it does happen very few and far between times at the plate, but she has the aptitude to recognize the shortcoming and corrects it.
