About a decade ago, I rediscovered my love for BMX racing and decided to introduce the thrilling sport to my three children. My oldest, who inherited my passion for the sport, competes alongside me on a national level, truly raising the stakes and making every race a memorable experience. As for my two younger children, they mainly participate in local races, which allows them to enjoy the sport while also honing their skills in a less intense environment. For this year, my goal is to rank among the top 20 in my age class. It’s an ambitious goal, but I believe that with hard work and determination, it’s within my reach. But more than just personal achievement, I’m in this sport to show my kids how they can enjoy the thrill of competition while also having fun. I want to set an example for them that it’s possible to strive for victory, yet still enjoy the process and have a great time.
