About Cole's Goals

My name is Cole Veard. I am 16 years old and from Lorain Ohio, right on the banks of the beautiful Lake Erie where I like to boat and fish with friends in my downtime. I am the only boy out of my parent's 8 kids and the baby so you could say that I have been training for the brutal side of MX and SX riding all my life. Those sisters don't cut me any breaks. They like to cut me up but when the going gets tough at the track I know that I can depend on them for a reminder that I can do anything I set my mind to. I recently changed my race number to #49 as a nod to my sister,Regan, whom has probably had the biggest hand in toughening me up. When I was much younger I watched from the sidelines as the girl in the VEARD #49 jersey made girl's soccer look more like rugby but never failed to get back up and keep going........then beat the brakes off of me when I stole her fries on the way home. HaHaHa I started riding at the age of 2 on an old 1981 Suzuki JR 50 with training wheels and before I even rode a bicycle. I started racing at the age of 4 on that same bike. This past fall my parents and I made the leap to start online school with OnTrack so that I can train and have more flexibility to travel for racing. Since doing this I have competed at Mini O's, Made podium in the Buckeye Series made my way through 3 Loretta's Area Qualifiers, where i successfully moved on to Regional Qualifiers twice in each of my 3 classes (125C/125 jr/Schoolboy 1,all on a "bone stock" bike in mod classes. I am currently training full time at Driven MX and working closely with my mechanic, Cody Leighton, to make changes the my bikes to make me even more competitive. My dad works full time + so it's mostly just myself and my mom traveling, along with whichever sister can make it, so we have decided to reach out for sponsorships so that my Dad can attend more races and to offset the expense of racing in general as I move to higher and higher levels. I've decided to chase this dream with all that I have and see how far it can take me. I am blessed with the support of my friends and family but racing is a very expensive sport so I am here asking for your support as well. Thank you.
